RESUMEN
Introducción. La Tuberculosis se encuentra clasificada como una enfermedad remergente en el mundo y también en nuestro país, por lo que debe estudiarse las características epidemiológicas y socioculturales de cada territorio para eliminarla como problema de salud. Objetivo Identificar el comportamiento de la Tuberculosis Pulmonar en los 10 últimos años en el área de Salud Yaguajay. Material y método Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, y retrospectivo donde el universo de trabajo estuvo conformado por el total de casos diagnosticados y notificados desde el 1ro de Enero del 1998 hasta el 31 de Diciembre del 2008.. Se diseñó una encuesta la cual se aplico a los EBS y se revisaron documentos del Departamento de Estadística y VDHE .Resultados: En los años 2002-2004 se notificó el mayor número de casos así como en la raza blanca y del sexo masculino. El grupo de edad más afectado fue de 56-65 años y la mayoría pertenecieron al Consejo Popular Sansaric y en un solo caso se conoció la fuente de infección. El 50% de los casos fue Baciloscopia + y que los 10 casos estaban notificados como riesgo de padecer Tuberculosis. Conclusiones: ,La mayoría de los afectados tienen 1 o más factores predisponentes, en casi todos predominó la mala higiene personal y consideramos adecuado el grado de conocimiento de los encuestados sobre la enfermedad en su radio de acción estando dispensarizados en su CMF, aunque esto no indica que debamos disminuir nuestro apoyo y promoción hacia todos los sectores de la comunidad.

ABSTRACT
Introduction. The Tuberculosis at this time is classified as an illness remergente in the world and also in our country, and in function of the characteristics epidemic and sociocultural local of each territory we think about the future perspective of reaching the elimination of the Tuberculosis like problem of health in the country, the principal objective: To identify the behaviour of the Lung TB in the last 10 years in the area of Health Yaguajay. It was carried out a descriptive, longitudinal and retrospective study in the area of Health of the Policlinic Yaguajay where the working universe was conformed by the total of diagnosed cases and notified from January 1ro the 1998 up to December 31 the 2008 that that in turn was the sample of the investigation. A survey was designed by the authors of the work the one that was validated and he/she responded to the objectives layouts in the investigation which you applies the EBS where these patients belonged In the years that but quantity of cases was notified it was in the year 2002-2004 and in the adult I number of cases they were of the white race and of the masculine sex. The age group but affected it was of 56-65 years.. Most of the cases belonged to the Popular Council Sansaric and in a single case the infection source was known. 50% of the cases was Baciloscopias + in all the cases as well as that the 10 patients belonged to groups risks.
