FAMILY BEHAVIOR EXPRESSION ESSENTIAL HYPERTENSIONSummaryObjective: To determine the relative behavior in the expression of Essential Hypertension in three offices of the Policlinic Universitario "Lieutenant Tomas Rojas" the municipality Céspedes, Camagüey province, in the period from January 1 to December 31, 2007 period.

Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted to determine the relative genetic behavior in the expression of essential hypertension in patients older than 15 years belonging to the offices of Family Doctor No 2, 3 and 4 located in the People's Council of Magarabomba, belonging to the Policlinic Universitario "Lieutenant Tomas Rojas", municipality of Céspedes, Camagüey province, in the period 1st period. January to 31 December 2007.

Conclusions: More than half of the cases provided a positive family history of essential hypertension in three or more generations affected indicating the existence of an important genetic factor. Familial aggregation in the index case is mostly found in individuals of white skin color, female and aged between 45 and 59 years. In most cases there were no Familial Aggregation at least one affected generation.Keywords: behavior, family, expression, familial aggregation, arterial hypertension.
