    1. Volume 1 (Red Cover)

Here's Ranma: The Tendo dojo gets plenty of surprises in one day when a panda and a girl show up instead of Soun Tendo's old friend Genma and his son Ranma. There's more to this panda and the girl than they think, though, as Akane finds out when she walks in on the "girl", who somehow changed to a boy, in the shower! Is this really Ranma Saotome, the guy that she's supposedly engaged to? It's certainly not Akane's idea of a fiancee…. Ranma's Secret: Genma explains his and Ranma's strange curse to the surprised Tendo family. It appears that on a training trip to China, Genma and Ranma traveled to an alleged training ground called Jusenkyo. While there, they were both hit into cursed springs, whcih make them change into a panda and a girl, respectively, when wet! Soun decides to go through with the engagement anyway, and when Akane is picked as Ranma's fiancee, it's going to be difficult for the two to get along..especially if Ranma walks in again on Akane (this time as a female)… I Hate Men!: Ranma and Akane go off to their first day together at Furinkan High school, and on the way Ranma gets splashed, causing the two to take a detour to Dr. Tofu's office to get some hot water. Ranma suspects Akane of liking the good doctor, but has no time to think about it as Ranma's going to find out that Furinkan's not exactly your normal school – especially when bokken-wielding, poetry-spouting Tatewaki Kunou is the voice of influence. A chance speech by him at the beginning of the semester has Akane having to literally fight off the advances of the boys at the school. Kunou challenges Ranma to a fight, and Ranma gladly accepts, despite Akane's protests… Never, Never, Never:Ranma and Kunou's fight ends in a draw as the rain almost reveals Ranma's curse to the whole school. later, Kunou finds out about the engagement of his "dear Akane" and Ranma and challenges Ranma again, this time in the middle of school! Ranma accepts once again, but a foolish jump into a pool of cold water reveals Ranma's female form to the angry Kunou… To the Tree-Borne Kettle-Girl: Despite glomping onto her, Kunou hasn't made the connection between the female and male Ranmas and thinks that they are two separate people. Akane tries to get Onna-Ranma a kettle of hot water, but the kettle goes unused as Kunou challenges the female Ranma to combat. Onna-Ranma defeats Kunou easily, but if you thought it was bad enough for the male Ranma dealing with Tatewaki Kunou, just wait until he sends a note asking the female Ranma to meet him somewhere alone… Body and Soul: Ranma's still having nightmares over Kunou's confession of love for his girl-side, and things get worse when at first Nabiki sells pictures of Onna-Ranma to Kunou and then when even an obvious change still does not show Kunou that his beloved "pig-tailed girl" and male Ranma are one and the same. Yet another fight breaks out, and this time a distracted Ranma may lose, as seeing the pictures Kunou was sold may prove fatal for Ranma… You'll Understand Soon Enough: Ranma gets greviously wounded by Kunou, but still manages to defeat him with a swift multiple kick to his vital spots. The wound doesn't seem bad at first, but upon further inspection (and much pain from Ranma), Akane decides to take Ranma to Dr. Tofu's office. All of these fights with Kuno (and sometimes Akane) has Ranma exhausted and being treated at the local chiropractic clinic run by Dr. Tofu is a welcome release from all the tension. As he treats her, Tofu tries to steer Ranma to a better understanding of Akane, and uses a special pressure point which makes Ranma's legs weak. Akane offers to piggy-back Ranma home, leaving Ranma to wonder about Tofu's reasons for his actions and about Akane… Because There's a Girl He Likes: The male population at school has found out about Kunou's defeat, and all give up their attacks on Akane to acknowledge Ranma as her true fiance – all except Kunou, who, bandaged and all, swears to keep after both Akane and his pig-tailed goddess. A chance hit by a baseball hit by Akane lands Ranma back in Dr. Tofu's office, and Ranma confirms Akane's feelings for the doctor. But as Akane is well aware of, Dr. Tofu is head-over-heels in love with someone else, who just happens to be on her way to the clinic… You're Cute When You Smile: Ranma is about to find out the hard way that love can make even the best doctors act like total fools when Dr. Tofu's love interest turns out to be none other than Akane's older sister Kasumi. Dr. Tofu is so lovestruck that he bends Ranma's head the wrong way, much to Ranma's discomfort. Meanwhile, a devastated Akane goes home, and though she still has feelings for Dr. Tofu, manages to feel a little better after a sparring match with Ranma, who calls her "cute when she smiles"… The Hunter: Things actually seem to be settling down a bit in Nerima. The hordes of boys have stopped chasing Akane, Kuno isn't attacking male Ranma all that often, and believe it or not, Akane and Ranma seem to be getting along. However, the peace doesn't last long as an old rival of Ranma's shows up to settle the score. Ryoga Hibiki's horrible sense of direction may make him seem like he's an idiot, but his brute strength and skill are easily equal to Ranma's…Ryoga challenges Ranma to a duel, and Rnama is left to ponder the determination of his mysterious rival.. Bread Feud: Ranma remembers Ryoga's reason for his grudge against him. It seems that when Ryoga and Ranma went to the same junior high school Ranma was able to outsmart Ryoga for the last piece of the "Bread of the Day" every time, causing Ryoga to challenge Ranma to a duel. Unfortunately, Ryoga's horrid sense of direction makes him late for the duel by three days, and Ranma leaves, making Ryoga think Ranma a coward. Now, Ryoga's finally caught up to Ranma, and despite Rnama's attempts to make peace, Ryoga attacks. Ryoga draws first blood, and Ranma begins to think he has to get serious to defeat his enemy… Showdown: Ranma has to defend himself against the enraged Eternal Lost Boy, even if Ranma's "secret" becomes known to him in the process. Ranma tries to draw pity from Ryoga, but Ryoga only gets more enraged at finding out Ranma's curse as he furiously attacks Ranma. Meanwhile, Akane tries to find Ranma some hot water, risking her own life to do so. An alarmed Ranma tries to help a helpless Akane up as Ryoga throws his umbrella straight at Ranma's back… A Bad Cut: Ranma manages to avoid the fatal umbrella blow and jumps with Akane to safety. A worried Ranma then angrily reprimands Akane for her foolishness, enraging Akane to the point of calling Ranma non-existent to her. Ryoga meanwhile, tries to finish the fight by tossing his cutting bandannas at Ranma. Unfortunately, the only loser of this battle happens to be Akane, who is robbed of something very important to her… Who Says You're Cute: Akane's loss finally gets her to accept the fact that Dr. Tofu loves someone else, and a new day seems to have begun for her. Ranma, on the other hand, secretly realizes that this new Akane, both physically and spiritually, might actually be cute…

    2. Volume 2 (Yellow Cover)

The Transformation of Ryoga: Ryoga finally finds his way to the Tendo dojo, where he attacks Ranma in the middle of the night! As Ranma's about to find out, though, a cold and rainy night was definitely not the best night for Ryoga to fight Ranma… He's Got a Beef: Ryoga tells Ranma the story of how he was cursed. Apparently he followed Ranma to China, and more specifically, Jusenkyo. But before he can catch up with Ranma, he gets knocked into a cursed spring by a panda and a pig-tailed girl. Cursed to become a black piglet, he is caught and almost eaten. Ryoga blames Ranma, and Ranma denies all charges until Ryoga finds out that the girl who knocked him into the pool was Ranma. The ensuing fight brings Akane into the picture, and when she sees her new pet (Ryoga) getting picked on by Ranma, Ranma's in trouble. Now Ranma has to resort to sneaking to Akane's room to expose Ryoga for what he really is… Kodachi, the Black Rose: Enter Kodachi, the Black Rose of rival school St. Bacchus, who's ambushed all the martial Rhythmic Gymnastics team members of Furinkan high so she can win by default! It's up to Akane to step up to the challenge of defending Furinkan High's honor against Kodachi. In training, however, she's absolutely clueless until Ryoga, of all people, shows up to train her. Meanwhile, Kodachi is on her way to the Tendo dojo, to make sure Akane never even gets to the competition… The Love of the Black Rose: Akane's training is finished for the night, and she's loooking forward to a good night's rest – too bad she isn't going to get it. Kodachi attempts to cripple her, and Akane has to defend herself. Ranma and Ryoga/P-chan get mixed up in the pre-fight duel as well, and Kodachi ends up making a temporary retreat. Her near fall off the rooftops causes Ranma to rescue her, however, and to make matters worse, Kodachi's ends up falling hard for the male Ranma. An attempted kiss then leaves Ranma paralyzed on the roof, and Kodachi running from an enraged Akane… Take Care of My Sister: Kodachi tries to ambush Akane at school, and then decides to have their match determine who can have Ranma, after finding out he's Akane's fiancee. Ranma and Akane also find out that Kodachi just happens to be Kuno's sister. However, despite avoiding being ambushed herself by the Black Rose, Akane ends up hurting herself before the match, and now female Ranma (with Ryoga's suspect "help") has to take Akane's place… I'll See That You Lose: Ryoga attempts to cripple Ranma in training him/her, and the two end up fighting all night, leaving a very tired female Ranma in the morning. Upon finding out about a substitute, Kodachi attempts several times to cripple her before the match, but fails. Now the fight begins – but femlae Rnama ends up with a handicap – being chained to a very angry P-chan… Hot Competition: The fight is on and Ranma had better win it, or else he'll be dating the psychotic Kodachi. Kodachi pulls out every underhanded trick in the book to try and defeat her opponent. Ranma-chan's doing pretty well – all she has to do is avoid that kettle of boiling hot water Kodachi has and he/she'll be fine… I Give Up: Onna-Ranma and P-chan are hit with the hot water, and for a while it looks like they're both abut to face the biggest embarassment of their lives. Akane, however, saves them with a quick blast of cold water. AFter Kodachi cheats again by having the ring move, only the ring posts and ropes remain to stand on, and Onna-Ranma has to make sure that she's the last one left standing… Darling Charlotte: With the Kodachi situation settled (sort of), life can somewhat return to normal in Nerima. Akane and Ranma-chan, along with P-chan, go to a skating rink to relax from all the fighting. However, the fighting is far from over as a girl by the name of Azusa Shiratori "finds"s P-chan and claims her for her own. Now Akane has to challenge Azusa to a martial skating match to get P-chan back, and now Ranma's involved too. Of course, Ryoga wants to fight at Akane's side instead of Ranma..all the two need to do is learn how to skate… A Kiss in the Rink: To Ranma, it's embarrassing to be slipping and sliding around the ice as a guy, so Akane has to teach him as a girl. Ranma's going to learn to regret doing that, though, as he just happens to get his first kiss in girl form. The problem is – the kisser is Mikado Sanzenin! As the day of the match draws near, a very angry male Ranma tries to gain revenge on the unaware Sanzenin for the most grevious insult he's taken…. Lips at a Loss: Male Ranma's furious, and in a "pre-match" tot he real fight he angrily attacks Mikado in a rage. The two end up fighting, and despite Mikado's "Dance of Death" attack the match ends in a draw. Later on, Akane is tending to Rnam's wounds and the two share a tender moment..unfortunately before it can get any closer the two realize it's being videotaped…meanwhile, and enraged Mikado seeks revenge on Ranma…

    3. Volume 3 (Blue Cover)

Lips at War: Before the match, Mikado promises he'll take the lips of Akane Tendo sometime during the match, and Ranma now has to watch out for his repeated attempts to kiss Akane as well as concentrate on the match. The two pairs clash as the match begins (with ryoga/P-chan as the prize), and Ranma seems to be doing well (he somehow learned how to skate in that period before the match). However, after a particularly brazen attempt by Mikado to kiss Akane, Ranma angrily vows to finish off Mikado, reavealing he's Akane's fiancee in the process… I'll Never Let Go: Akane and Ranma have to avoid the Golden Pair's deadly Couple Cleaver attack, and do so, at Ranma's expense. An seriously injured Ranma struggles to get up while Akane tries to stop him. However, "Charlotte" has his own way of interfering, and when his plan to pair with Akane fails, he ends up being paired with Onna-Ranma, of all people! Now Ryoga and Onna-Ranma have to team up, and the real battle begins – and not just between the two teams… Burning the Bridges: The match continues (after a brief change of costume) for Ryoga and Onna-Ranma. The "Golden Pair" executes their deadly "Couple Cleaver" again, and it almost succeeds – but both Ryoga and Onna-Ranma get up from it mainly unbruised. And then, in the middle of the match, of all times, Ryoga challenges Onna-Ranma to a duel… Ryoga Explodes!: Ryoga and Onna-Ranma are now fighting each other, to the surprise of Akane and the rest of the people in the arena. In the process of the duel, however, the rink breaks open, revealing a pool of icy water underneath. Ryoga has to prevent himself from falling in the water as well as fight Ranma, and when Mikado almost knocks him in, Ryoga somehow summons the strength to totally knock out Mikado and keep himself above the water. The resulting avalanche buries Onna-Ranma, and Ryoga thinks he's won….until Ranma somehow claws himself out of the icy mass…. The Waters of Love: Thanks to Ryoga (and Azusa, for that matter) Furinkan high has won the match witht he "Golden Par", but Ryoga and Onna-Ranma are still fighting it out viciously over the pool of ice and water. The match only ends when a swimming-impaired Akane falls into the water, prompting Ryoga (as P-chan) and Ranma to dive in and save her. Now, thankfully, the grueling Martial Skating Match is over, but Onna-Ranma's got no time to relax because he/she's got a new enemy – Shampoo, a female Chinese Amazon who's out to kill Onna-Ranma… Kiss of Death: Onna-Ranma is barely able to avoid Shampoo's attack in the locker room by hiding in one of the lockers, and later Ranma is able to tell Akane why Shampoo is after him/her. It appears that Shampoo is after Ranma because Ranma (in girl form at the time) defeated her in a fight. According to Chinese Amazon law, an Amazon must not stop chasing an outsider who defeats her until she's dead, and that spells trouble for the female Ranma. If Ranma thought this predicament was bad enough, though, just wait until he finds out what the Amazon law says about being defeated by male outsiders…especially when Ranma does just that upon finding out Shampoo is in the Tendo Dojo… You I Love: Ever since Shampoo gave a certain show of affection to her supposed future husband Ranma, Akane's been bitten by the green-eyed monster of jealousy. Meanwhile, though, since Shampoo is unaware that the female Ranma and the male Ranma are one and the same, Shampoo always seems to be glomping onto "him" half the time and trying to kill "her" the other half, making for a really difficult situation for poor Ranma… Akane Gets Shampooed: When Shampoo tries to make sweet and sour pork out of a certain little black pig for her "husband" Ranma to eat, it's the last straw for Akane. Akane ends up fighting Shampoo, but the Chinese girl ends up taking something very important to Akane… Shampoo Cleans Up: Now that Akane's suffered Shampoo's memory loss attack, she doesn't remember anything about Ranma! According to Dr. Tofu, Shampoo has used the Xi Fa Xiang Gao technique, a deadly shiatsu technique which combines a certain herbal shampoo and the pushing of pressure points on the head to manipulate memory! With Akane (forcibly) in tow, Ranma frantically looks for the herbal shampoo that can cure Akane's selective amnesia… it's too bad that Ranma doesn't know that Shampoo's a temporary nurse at Tofu's clincic… Formula #911: Akane still can't remember anything about Ranma, even when, to her surprise, she finds out he lives with her. But when Shampoo attempts to take advantage of Akane's malady by showing up and trying to glomp onto Ranma, Akane somehow miraculously produces a conditioned reflex to her fiancee being hugged (i.e. hitting him), causing Shampoo to nearly use the technique on her again. Ranma finds out later from Dr. Tofu that the counter-shampoo formula for the herbal shampoo Shampoo used is #911, and when Ranma finds out that Shampoo has the shampoo, Ranma tries to make a "bargain" with Shampooo – one that might end up hurting him more than helping him…. Bie Liao (Goodbye): Ranma's willing to do almost anything to get the antidote shampoo to Shampoo's memory loss technique – even if it means that Ranma has to ask Ryoga to "almost kill" him to fulfill the bargain he made (he had agreed to get the shampoo in exchange for Onna-Ranma's supposed "near death"). Despite failing to get "almost killed" by Ryoga, Soun, and Genma, however, Ranma manages to bring Akane's memory back, and just in time, too, because Shampoo shows up to make another attempt on the newly-cured Akane's life! It seems the only way for Ranma to stop all of this is to reveal to Shampoo the secret curse he holds. But what effect will it have on the Chinese Amazon, when she finds out the man she is supposed to marry is also the one she is bound by law to kill…?

    4. Volume 4 (Dark Green Cover)

Looking for a Weak Spot: Hikaru "Voodoo Spike" Gosunkugi was content to love Akane from afar, through his picture taking, but then "that fool Ranma Saotome" had shown up to crash the party. Gosunkugi knows, though, that every person has a weak point, even the near-invincible Ranma, and Gosunkugi will stop at nothing to know what it is, even if he has to team with Tatewaki Kuno to succeed! Weak Spot – Found!: In an attempt to find out Ranma's weak spot, gosunkugi spies on Ranma at the Tendo dojo, but fails to see what frightens Ranma when he hears his scream. genma tells the story of how a young Ranma acquired his extreme fear of cats through the rigourous training of a technique called the "Cast-fist", in which the trainee is thrown into a pit of hungry cats (too bad the technique, unbeknwest to Genma, wasn't supposed to be taught anymore). Gosunkugi finds out the hard way what Ranma's fear is, and sets a deadly trap for the pig-tailed martial artist… Cat Hell: Gosunkugi sets a deadly trap for Ranma to catch him, but the plan backfires and all three end up in the pit below the stage instead. however, Ranma finds himself trapped as Gosunkugi reveals his knowledge of Ranma's weak spot and looses a bunch of felines, including a wild tiger, at the fear-stricken Ranma. Ranma's really in a pickle now, trapped in a pit with his biggest fear all around him. And it only gets worse from there. You see, when Ranma's fear of cats reaches a certain point, he starts acting like one… Cat-Fu: Ranma has become like a cat, and not even the tiger, Kunou, or even Genma can stop the feline-like Ranma from tearing up the gym and anyone who comes near him. Now Akane must try to bring her fiancee back from the edge, but not before Ranma actually shows his affection for the short-haired girl, (albeit while a cat)… You'd Have Kissed Anyone?: Everyone's heard about Ranma's show of affection to Akane, and it's trouble for Ranma when Kunou, Gosunkugi, and Ryouga team up on him in retribution for his unknowing act. At Dr. Tofu's, Akane plans to beat up Ranma because he "kissed" her in public, but when Ranma happens to show at Tofu's office at the saem time as her, the two are too embarassed to say anything. Ranma eventually hurts Akane's feelings by saying he didn't remember the kiss, and is quickly booted out of sight. Meanwhile, a Chinese cat finds its way into the bath with Ranma, and a certain Chinese Amazon makes her return… Shampoo Rides Again: Well, it appears that Shampoo is back, after acquiring a Jusenkyo curse of her own from China in the form of turning into a cat with cold water. As Ranma's going to find out, that's not all Shampoo brought with her….Ranma runs into Cologne, Shampoo's great grandmother and a person of many tricks, including one that makes Ranma unable to stand hot water, and therefore, not be able to change back into a man.. Attack of the Wild Mousse: The myopic Mousse, an "old friend" of Shampoo's, makes his appearance and challenges the male Ranma to a man-to-man fight. What a twist of fate that Ranma should be inhibited by Cologne's "full-body cat tongue" that prevents his changing back from his cursed form, after making this kind of promise with Mousse, to fight for Shampoo's (and Akane's) hand! Ranma's pretty good as a girl, but she's going to have to think up of something quick to mask his change from the "Master of Hidden Weapons"… The Martial Arts Magic Show: The fight between Ranma and Mousse is on as Mousse pulls out a variety of tricks from his sleeves – literally – to try and defeat Ranma. Ranma, cleverly concealed in a robe like Mousse's which conceals her current gender, is barely able to hold of the various attacks Mousse can throw at her. Only by pretending to "change into a girl" through magic can Ranma shed her heavy disguise – but even then it appears that Ranma's at a disadvantage because of the limits of her cursed body. mousse begins to press his advantage as the now defensive Ranma must find a way to beat Mousse and also keep all of her clothes on at the same time… Cat's Tongue Got You?: Mousse continues to attack Ranma, pressing her to the point of defeat as Mousse's longer legs and bigger body appear to be an insurmountable advantage for female Ranma. Dr. Tofu is able to temporarily cure Ranma's "full-body cat tongue" status just in time to turn into a male and defeat the persistent Mousse… The Phoenix Pill: Ranma barely survived the fight with Mousse, but she still can't change back into a guy because of the "Full-Body Cat Tongue" Cologne put on her. However, there is a cure – the legendary Phoenix Pill, which is currently in the possession of "the old ghoul". Now Ranma-chan has to resort to working for Cologne at their new restaurant in order to try and get that pill. Unfortunately, Ranma-chan's way too slow for the ancient Amazon, and so Ranma-chan's got to learn the ancient Chinese Amazon technique of the "Kachu Tenshin Amaguuriken" or "Chestnuts Roasting Over an Open Fire" technique to get up enough speed to catch Cologne off guard. If she could only find another way to master the technique besides trying to pull chestnuts out of a fire with her heat-sensitive hands… All's Fair at the Fair: To try and get Ranma's mind off of her predicament, Soun and the rest of the household decide to take a trip to the local fair in town. it is there among the games of the fair that Ranma is able to temporarily forget her problems – as well as finally learn the "Chestnut Fist" at the iranha booth. However, the troubles soon return to mind as she finds out that Cologne and Shampoo are running a haunted house in the fair. Seeking to get to Cologne and the Phoenix Pill, Ranma enters the house, holding off spirits, traps, and even a giant hot-water spring to get to Cologne, and it looks like the only way to wrest the precious pill from her grasp is to use her newly mastered technique… War of the Melons: Ranma's managed to master the "Chestnut Fist" technique, but was still tricked into taking a bogus Phoenix Pill by Cologne. Now Ranma, along with the entire Tendo household, trails Cologne to the beach to try and get the real Phoenix Pill. Ranma's got to win a watermelon-splitting race and keep his melon intact until he can cross the finish line and win the prize, which just happens to be the Phoenix Pill. However, a last fight with Cologne is waiting at the finish line… Naval Engagement: Cologne and Ranma engage in a fight to determine who gets the Phoenix Pill, and even though they manage to split each other's melons they keep fighting. Cologne tricks an overconfident Ranma, who manages to disarm her, into agreeing to a duel to settle the issue once and for all, and then easily gains the upper hand against a befuddled Ranma. It looks like this time Cologne's not holding back, even for an innocent Akane who just happens to be in the way when Cologne unleashes her deadly "Shark-Fist" attack at Onna-Ranma….

    5. Volume 5 (Magenta Cover)

Kitten of the Sea: The Battle at the Beach continues as Cologne continuously attacks Ranma with her deadly "Shark Fist". It seems that Ranma-chan can't get even one hit in, especially with Akane in the way. Things look bleak for Ranma until she finally figures out that with Shhampoo's help, Ranma-chan can finally counter the old Amazon's technique with one of her own… Will You Join Me?: Ryoga returns from a long training session in the mountains only to be easily beaten by Ranma – ironically right after rejecting an offer from Cologne to train him. Seems as if all those battles with the "old ghoul" has strengthened Ranma's speed and skill, to the point where fighting Ryoga is nothing to him. Ryoga decides after all to enlist the help of Cologne in order to be on par with the newly improved Ranma… Training Meals: Ranma, Genma, and Akane go to the mountains on a training trip, trailed by Ryoga and Cologne Akane comes along mostly to practice her cooking, and a failure to satisfy Genma and Ranma's hunger with good cooking forces Genma and Ranma to flee in horror. Later, Ryoga is able to stomach Akane's cooking, and though Akane is happy, she is angry at Ranma for implying that it's bad. Ryoga and Ranma almost begin their duel eraly, but Cologne intervenes, ominously warning Ranma that he will have a very formidable opponent in Ryoga on the day of the duel… The Breaking Point: In order to even up the odds with Ranma, Ryoga is trying to learn the Breaking Point – a deadly technique which shatters rock at a single touch of a finger. Genma informs Ranma, and Ranma struggles to learn a counterattack to the supposedly deadly technique. Meanwhile, Akane has moved over to Ryoga's camp after being angry with Ranma, but ends up being the prize of the duel on the day of the fight.. The Immortal Man: The day of the fight is at hand, and Ryoga shows he has mastered the deadly Breaking Point technique. Who knows what will happen if he touches Ranma? Ranma must use his skill to counter Ryoga's already incredible strength, all while not getting touched! It might even take the "Saotome Secret Technique" to beat this opponent… Fast Break: Ranma's discovered that not only can Ryoga shatter rocks with the Breaking Point technique, but that Ryoga is stronger against impacts as a result. Now Ranma has to use his "Saotome Secret Technique" (i.e. running away to buy time) in order to find a way to beat Ryoga. A quick series of punches by Ranma shows that he will have to use his speed to counter Ryoga's endurance. A tired Ranma must use his recently acquired speed quickly to defeat Ryoga, before the bandanna-wearing martial artist can defeat him with sheer power… The Way of Tea: Onna-Ranma just happens to save a man riding a horse from being injured, but the man ends up kidnapping Onna-Ranma and trying to make her his bride! Meet Sentaro, a man destined to marry Miss Satsuki, a martial arts Tea ceremony master. Onna-Ranma finds out that the reason Sentaro had kidnapped her was to defeat Miss Satsuki in combat, and though Onna-Ranma is quick to say she won't lose, she's still in a double bind, forced to either lose and admit defeat or win and marry Sentaro… Meet Miss Satsuki: To Sentaro's surprise and horror, Onna-Ranma reveals her curse to him when Sentaro again reiterates his desire to marry her after her duel. When Akane shows up following Onna-Ranma's trail, though, the battle really begins. Onna-Ranma has to master the techniques of the martial arts Tea Ceremony so that in the upcoming match with Miss Satsuki, she doesn't mess up! And Ranma and Akane find out that the problem that Sentaro has, however, is that Miss Satsuki is not exactly the bride he's been dreaming of! Proposal Accepted!: At first Onna-Rnama is reluctant to fight, but when "Miss Satsuki" attacks her she can't take the insult without retaliating. Using all the techniques she learned over a small amount of time, Onna-Rnama looks to be onthe verge of winning – until Sentaro attempts to off both her and Miss Satsuki in order to marry Akane. Fortunately, the real Miss Satsuki appears, and maybe Sentaro and the others can finally find out why a monkey was supposedly sent in her place… It's Fast or It's Free: A martial arts Takeout Delivery race has Akane and Onna-Ranma competing for a year's worth of food. The problem is that Shampoo's in the race too, and she's going to stop at nothing to win the race and impress Onna-Ranma. Throw in the fact that Kuno's house happens to be the randomly selected finish line of the race, and you've got a free-for-all to see who can get the free food to Kuno's house first and make him eat it! Funny how Kuno told Akane and his "pig-tailed goddess" that day that whoever reaches his house first gets to date with him… Eyes On the Prize: The race is on, and Shampoo attempts to put both Onna-Ranma and Akane out of the race by using a technique that blows up people's delivery boxes and damaging the food inside. The field is quickly narrowed to the three of them, and a three-way tie at Kuno's house makes the three girls enter into an every-person-for themselves fight where the object is to make Kuno eat their food… Noodles, Anyone?: The fight to make Kuno eat takeout continues, and Shampoo attempts to make Kuno eat it with yet another one of her moves – a noodle noose which wraps itself around the person's head like a vice and forces them to eat their way through it to breathe. Fortunately, Onna-Ranma is caught in it instead and Shampoo is forced to withdraw the technique. In the meantime, Kuno thinks that all three of these girls are out to date him, and an attempt to make a Kuno "harem" out of the three, Akane's food is accidentally knocked out and eaten by Shampoo and then Onna-Ranma… I Won't Eat It!: The fight gets taken up to the Kuno family baths, where Onna-Ranma happens to change back into a guy, also disqualifying Shampoo by ruining her food. There can only be a winner if someone eats the food, hwoever, and unfortunately as a guy, Ranma is not as able to convince Kuno to eat his takeout as much as he would be if he was a girl. An angry Kuno duels Ranma while Ranma is desperately trying to get Kuno to eat the food he's taken to him..and it may take some form of cold water in order to really convince Kuno to eat Ranma's already damaged food…

    6. Volume 6 (Light Orange Cover)

The Evil Wakes: Who should show up but Soun and Genma's old martial arts master – Happosai, the founder of the Anything-Goes school of martial arts. It seems that a long time ago, Soun and Genma were suffering, i.e. "training", under Happosai's tutelage and that the two martial artists had gotten so sick of their abuse that they tricked Happosai and buried him in a mountain cave. However, now Happosai has escaped – but instead of taking revenge on Genma and Soun, he decides to "train" Ranma, the supposed next heir to the Tendo dojo and the Anything-Goes style. Ranma has to find a way not to get into trouble with a martial arts master that turns out to be the biggesst pervert in all of Japan… He's Something Else: Unfortunately, Happosai has turned out to be a really big pervert, and Ranma is saddled with being "trained" by the old panty thief. It's even worse for Ranma when Happosai finds out about his curse, because Happi's always trying to get Onna-Ranma into a certain piece of female clothing! Ranma has to win a duel against Happosai, or else he's going to find himself wearing a bra to school the next day! Bathhouse Battle: Happosai's been nothing but a pain in the behind for Ranma ever since he's shown up, and this instance is no exception. Happosai decides to "train" Ranma by trying to get him/her to stop him from peeking at the girls' side at the public baths. Unfortunately Ranma turns out to be the pervert in the girls' eyes, and especially in Akane's, who just happens to have shown up with Nabiki because of the Tendos' broken bathtub. It looks like the only way Ranma's going to be able to combat Happosai and his dreaded "Bathhouse Fu" is to turn into a girl and fight him on the girls' side. All Ranma has to do is stay away from the hot water… Moonlight Serenade: Ranma's got to stop Happosai from dressing up like P-chan and going to bed with Akane, after Happi finds out that the little black pig gets to sleep in Akane's bed every night. Little do both of them know that the real P-chan's (A.K.A. Ryoga) not too happy about being replaced, and despite Ranma's efforts, he and Ryoga have to team up in order to take on the old martial artist and stop him from excercising his perverted tendancies on the object of both their love and affection… The Wrath of Happosai: A rash of panty thefts have hit the Nerima neighborhood, and Ranma knows exactly who's the culprit. When Ranma cleans out Happosai's new collection of "silky darlings", he actually gets the martial arts master mad, and as Ranma's going to find out, the master's wrath is worse than death at times! Ordering outrageous amounts of takeout food and sending panty "ransom" notes to all the girls (all in Ranma's name) is just the beginning of Hapoosai's ire. Ranma, however, has got a plan to beat the perverted old man in his upcoming fight with him… The Scent of a Woman: Ranma's plan goes into action as Akane sews on a special patch onto Happosai's back. It seems that this patch produces a scent which is like a kind of tear gas to women, and when Happosai goes on his usual outings to rub up against pretty girls, he is puzzled, worried, and then angry at the fact that he seems to make the girls run away before he can even touch them. Ranma takes advantage of the situation and attacks Happosai, revealing his plan to him in the process, and an angry Happosai prepares to teach Ranma a lesson – until Happi appears to suffer from a case of "women withdrawal" and is too weak to even stand! Soun and Genma try to jump at the opportunity my trying to get rid of him, but a sympathetic Ranma rescues him and takes pity on the old man. This, however, proves to be Ranma's undoing, as a short cold rain and a glomping later, happosai has the advantage and Onna-Ranma is reeling back from her own trickery, her eyes tearing over because of the "woman repellent" on Happi's back… Fathers Know Best: Happosai attacks the weakened Onna-Ranma, and she desperately tries to find a way to beat him while attempting to ward off the "woman repellant" smell. Finally, witht he help of Akane, Ranma is able to get Happosai and lock him up in a tea kettle, and Soun and Genma show up to finish the job. However, Happosai's battle aura attack proves too much for almost everyone, and against all odds, Ranma has to beat him…until Genma-panda steps in to try and equal the mighty aura of Happosai…for a few seconds, anyway… Instant Spring: Soun and Genma think up of a scheme to get Ranma and Akane to work together – make up a character called the "Dojo Destroyer", who'll try to defeat the dojo's fighters and take their sign. Realizing the threat, Ranma and Akane will have to work together, right? It's a perfect plan until a real Dojo Destroyer shows up and challenges the Tendo dojo for the sign! Meanwhile, Shampoo presents a possible cure to Ranma – "Instant Nannichuan", a powder which turns any tub of water into a "Spring of Drowned Man". It's the perfect cure for Ranma, at last! All Ranma has to do is go on a date with Shampoo and the powder is his. Unfortunately for Akane and Ranma, the day of the date just happens to be the day of the fight with the Dojo Destroyer! Now Akane must face the Destroyer alone, but even she may be no match for someone such as this… No Need for Ranma: The day of the battle with the Dojo Destroyer is at hand, and Akane stands alone against him while Ranma's off on his date with Shampoo to get the "Instant Nannichuan". All Ranma has to do is end the date and he can get to Akane with the powder tucked away for later! But Shampoo will only end the date after receiving a "goodbye kiss" from her future husband! Ranma has to figure out a way to get out of this mess and help Akane (not to mention get the powder) before Akane is defeated by the deadly Dojo Destroyer… The Destroyer Strikes: Akane's got her hands full with the Dojo destroyer, and with her injured hand, she doesn't stand a chance of beating the huge sign-wielder. Ranma desperately tries to trick Shampoo into giving him the powder, and ends up having to trick her into giving him her bike so he can make it back to the dojo on time (genma ends up giving Ranma a "speed boost" by accidentally turning him into a girl and Shampoo into a cat, whcih makes Onna-Ranma pedal a _lot_ faster). Ranma ends up making it back in time to stop a fatal blow struck to Akane, and now he has to take on the Dojo Destroyer himself – all he has to do is not hit any of the Instant Nannichuan powder packets shampoo's placed on the Dojo Destroyer and he'll do just fine… Just One More Kiss: Onna-Ranma engages the Dojo Destroyer, but ends up hitting all the packets, at the same time, which were glued to all of the Dojo Destroyer's vital spots by Shampoo – vital spots that she was sure Ranma would instinctively go for! Now Ranma's at a loss, but Shampoo has one more – and she lies, telling everyone that she wants "one more kiss" from Rnama even though he never kissed her. Akane and Ranma end up fighting over the last packet and the supposed kiss, and Ranma angrily tears it up to show he is telling the truth. Akane apologizes at first to the supposedly hurt Ranma, but then ends up hitting him after a last packet is found in the Dojo Destroyer's clutches. Ranma and Genam eagerly try out the powder, at at fist it looks like it's working…until a cold rain just happens to fall the two supposedly cured martial artists…

The Soap of Happiness: Ryouga returns to Nerima once again, still dejected over not being able to confess his true feelings for Akane, and writes a letter to Akane in green ink in order to impress her (green ink was said to inspire love in the recipient). At the bathouse, Ryouga tries to bring the letter to Akane, who is there, but is promptly beaten up by Ranma, who also happens to be there. Meanwhile, on the girls' side, a confident Shampoo shows up to talk to Akane, holding a magical soap that's guaranteed not to change you if you're Jusenkyo cursed. Ryouga, however, accidentally gets a hold of the soap, and after unknowingly using it, is surprised to find out he doesn't change when he happens to be splashed by cold water in front of Akane. Now Ryouga is finally jubilant to be rid of his curse, and Ranma is left to wonder exactly how Ryouga's managed a permanent cure… Cupids, Draw Back Your Bow: Confident in his ability to ask out Akane now that he's supposedly permanently cured, Ryouga resolves to ask out Akane when he sees her next, while beating up a suddenly friendly Ranma who wants to know the secret of his cure. Akane does happen to show up, but Ryouga ends up being too scared to tell her how he truly feels. Ranma then finds out from Shampoo about Ryouga's "cure" (the magic soap), and resolves to temporarily team with Shampoo in order to get the soap back. As "Kew" and "Pid", the Twins of Love, Onna-Ranma and Shampoo try to trick Ryouga (who's easily fooled by their horrible disguises) into giving them the soap, and almost succeed, but when Onna-Ranma is fighting Shampoo for the soap, it is accidentally put into the hands of Ryouga yet again, who finally learns of the soap's properties and resolves "never to let the soap go", much to Ranma's frustration… Don't Follow Me: Ranma manages to sneak attack Ryouga while he's deep in thought about the soap, but then finds out Ryouga has tricked him into taking a decoy soap which doesn't work at all. Onna-Ranma regroups, and with Shampoo (masquerading once again as Kew and Pid) tricks Ryouga into thinking Akane has asked him out on a date, giving him a meeting place to meet her. Meanwhile, Akane is puzzled over a letter she got, supposedly from Ryouga, that said to meether in a certain place – and then Ryouga shows up, claiming to have heard that Akane asked her out! Onna-Ranma and Shampoo, as Kew and Pid, ambush Ryouga at the meeting palce and attempt to take the soap, but Ryouga manages to uncover their disguises at last. Akane is hurt because she thinks Ranma's being mean to Ryouga, and decides to take out Ryouga on a real date, much to Ranma's jealousy. Now Ranma and Shampoo have one more attempt to get the soap from Ryouga, but first they have to trick the two into getting separated in a haunted house… Who Do You Love?: Unsuccessful in their attempts to get the soap, Ranma and Shampoo try yet again to get the soap from Ryouga, but are quickly foiled yet again. Becoming more and more confident by the minute that he's on a real date with Akane, Ryouga decides to try and confess his real feelings to Akane, but is stopped just short by a jealous Ranma. Akane is later hit by Shampoo's special "puppet acupuncture" technique and unwillingly hugs Ryouga, getting the soap from him, much to Ranma's anger and Ryouga's extreme happiness. Unfortunately, just as Shampoo speeds past Akane and Ryouga, Ranma just happens to be standing in the way, and Shampoo unknowingly stuffs the soap down Ranma's throat… Give Me a Little Hug: Ranma now has to attempt to disguise himself as "Ryouga's girlfriend" in order to get Akane back from him, but is promtpy foiled by both Shampoo and Akane, who want hijm to cough up the soap. A hugely confident Ryouga then suddenly becomes more bold, chasing Akane around declaring his love for her, much to Akane's horror, seeing as Ryouga's destroying everything in his way to get to Akane! Now only Ranma can save Akane from Ryouga's rather unintentional rough love, and disguises himself in female form as Akane. But can even a disguised Onna-Ranma stand the loving hug of a passionate Ryouga? The Legendary Moxibustion of Evil: Ranma just happens to foil one of Happosai's recent panty raids, angering Happosai and forcing him to attack Ranma with a special moxibustion which makes the victim as weak as a baby, able to be beaten up by anyone! An ineffective attack on Ranma's part proves this, as he is easily beaten up by Kunou and even a little kid. Now Ranma must try to find the cure, and try to stop a vengeful Happosai, who's been spreading rumors and letters about Ranma's weakness – a surefire way to get the attention of Ranma's many rivals, who have all been holding grudges against him… The World's Weakest Man: Ranma is still weak, and not even Happosai knows the cure to the moxibustion technique he placed on Ranma. Later at school, nearly all of Ranma's rivals finally come calling to collect their revenge, and Ranma is promptly beaten up. At the height of defeat, however, Ranma is saved by a piteous Ryouga, who hits him away in sadness for his rival's fall. Meanwhile, Akane has found a possible cure for Ranma's weakness, but now she must tell Ranma before Ukyou happens to convince Ranma off the futility of his supposedly helpless situation… Weak For Life?!: As Cologne finds out about Ranma's weakness, Akane, Ranma and Ukyou all go to the supposed place for the cure for the weakness moxibustion – an ancient temple of scrolls and charts. However, much to their disappointment, the cure (a chart which shows how to cure the moxbustion) was stolen by a certain evil martial artist a long time ago. Now Ranma, though weak, has to confront Happosai to get the chart..but he'll have to defeat the evil master when he's not even willing to hold back… The Valley of Moxibustion: Ranma and Genma have left the Tendo Dojo permanently for the mountains, unwilling to return until a cure is found for Ranma's weakness. Ukyou comes with them in order to help train Ranma, and when Akane finds out their location, sets off to find him. Meanwhile, all of Genma's attempts have failed and even his supposed "ultimate technique" turns out to be a stupidly contrived technique with a fancy name. Now Ranma's only hope appears to be Cologne's secret technique, the Hiryu Shoten Ha, and after one demonstration, Rnama resolves to learn the technique in three days. Meanwhile, Akane has finally found a rejuvenated Ranma who is promptly hit for commenting on Akane's cooking… Training in the Spiral of Hell: Ranma is involved in intense study with Cologne about the Hiryu Shoten Ha, and discovers the first step of the technique – that it follows the pattern of a spiral. Unfortunately, Ranma's attempts to master the second step, trying to step in a spiral, all fail as Ranma fails to keep his cool. Ranma masters the steps in another day's time, but now a roadblock is reached – without an opponent who won't fight back with all their strength and with no mercy, Ranma has no chance of learning the technique. However, salvation may come in the form of a certain martial artist with a yellow and black bandanna and an umbrella… The Inflammable Man: Ryouga's training with Ranma quickly becomes pointless – even he cannot fight with all his strength against Ranma because he pities him. Akane tries to help Ranma by using flaming gloves to attack Ranma (thereby replacing the "hot" battle aura needed for the Hiryu Shoten Ha), but only ends up burning the top of her gi off, much to Ranma's annoyance. An argument ensues, an in the middle of it walks the Eternally Lost Boy Ryouga, who misinterprets Akane's torn clothing, tears, and Ranma's apologies as something much more than they should be. Ryouga's hot battle aura finally flares up as he challenges Ranma, and Ranma ponders whether or not this is the aura needed to learn his deadly technique…
